The original idea was to bring 25 of us together with 25 singers from María Guinand’s internationally renowned choir, Schola Cantorum de Venezuela, to perform Osvaldo Golijov’s “La Pasión según San Marcos”. Then, the political situation in Venezuela started to unravel and the Venezuelan singers, who know the piece so well, were unable to make the trip to the United States.
