Baritone Justin Spenner and pianist Carson Schneider will present "Norse/Norge," a recital of Nordic art songs in the sanctuary following mass.

Doors open at 12:45pm, and the concert starts at 1:00pm.

Norse/Norge explores themes of diaspora, exile, and world-longing through Nordic composers Agathe Backer Grøndahl, Alf Hurum, Fartein Valen, Erik Bye, Per Sivle, and Tallest Man on Earth. As a whole, the program examines many aspects of diasporic art: nationalistic identity, cultural sharing (acculturation), cultural assimilation, and globalization.
