Border CrosSing’s Education Outreach Ensemble join Robbinsdale-Cooper High School Choirs for concert celebrating our vibrant global community.
“Oceana” is a reinvention of the Bach cantata form for a modern age by the celebrated Argentine composer Osvaldo Golijov. It is a prophetic work, setting texts by Pablo Neruda where “crashing waves have disappeared, the seas and the songs of travelers have passed away.”
Tenor Pedro Sequera will perform a recital of songs and arias in German and Italian and Latin-American songs in Spanish in the sanctuary following mass. Doors open at 12:45pm, and the concert starts at 1:00pm.
